I don't have a similar experience as the OP, but here's how I got my fetish:

When I was in kindergarten, we had a relief teacher one day with waist-long hair, which I didn't really notice at first. Later that week our normal teacher came back, but the sub was allow to stay for the rest of the afternoon (I think she was a trainee or something).

Anyway, the teacher was up talking about the alphabet, when I saw the sub (sitting on the side) gather up all her hair, twist it into a bun and then drop it down her chest - she did this again and again absentmindedly.

I felt really uncomfortable in my trousers, but didn't know what was happening or how I would say it at the time. But looking back I think that's how I became attracted to women with long hair.
