My girlfriend has buttocklong blond hair which is braided most of the time. Braided into a knot during the day and in a loose braid for the night. Doing so minimizes the risk of damaging the hair. She lets it grow to kneelength. I love it when it's loose, I can play endlessly with it. She never wears its loose during the day, I respect that, it's just bad luck for the outside world.
