Many women would be glad to have the hair you have at the ends of your mane at the roots of their hair. I think it is a good idea that you put "quality" over "quantity", but when there is no deficit in "quality" at all and your hair streams down like a golden waterfall - why not keep the tips tickling your skin 68 inches below the top of your head ...? - as long as it it o.k. for you and you generally like it that way.
