Surfing the channels on New Year's Day , nuthin' else to do, I came across a "Brady Bunch" marathon which inspired me anew in a theory (or observation) I formed when the series originally aired. Although the luscious long blonde hair of both Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb was on display in the episodes I watched today, it's my renewed impression that, as the series progressed, Maureen McCormick's beauty was eclipsed by that of Eve Plumb , despite the "middle child syndrome" from which "Jan" suffered .
And another thing that still puzzles me. In such a blended family, what prevented any of the step siblings (who, after all, were not blood kin) from developing attractions to eachother , especially since a few of the actual cast members have reported just that phenomenon behind the scenes (eg., Barry Williams had a crush--and an actual date--with Florence Henderson, whose character was married on the show to an actor who was actually gay... )?
