If it was scripted then I wonder if Emerald was actually briefly thinking about cutting her hair, or if the website just wanted to make a video to cater to long-to-short haircut fetishists (but not really, since there was no actual haircut involved) and she was the model that was chosen for it?

Thanks again for your answers. I'm jealous that you actually got to see these long hair videos that I only had to settle on scarce previews for. I'll sadly never get to experience what long hair sites like TILHC and hairwearesecrets were really like at their peaks, although at least there's some HWAS material floating around various corners of the internet now. I wish TILHC content, especially Emerald's, got preserved as much.
