I thought the entry of one´s (real) e-mail here was serving the purpose of potentially holding users responsible for whatever they have posted, and for the chance of moderators to perhaps get in touch with them and explain a couple of things to them when necessary.


Rather than using a fake address, I would welcome the idea of having to log in into an account. At the moment I find it too easy for any poster´s address to be read and used by anyone who feels like it. The way things are handled now indeed encourages the use of fake addresses, when in fact only the moderators should be allowed and able to see the posters´ adresses in the first place; any exchange between posters should take place through public posts on the forum.
