Most of us can trace back our fetish maybe to some childhood incident, encounter, or acquaintance; but that doesn´t explain at all why we have developed this fetish in the first place.

For many people meet a girl or a woman with very long hair sooner or later during their childhood. But most of them think nothing of it, forget all about it, or find it impractical or even disgusting, and that´s it for them.

I, however, can still vividly remember seeing a photo of a (pretty) Swedish girl around 1967 (when I was 8 or 9) with blonde pigtails almost to the floor; it was on the first page of a tabloid that was lying around somewhere and that I just happened to come across. To this day I´m sure that I´m the only person in the country who still remembers that photo.

The conclusion can only be that there must be a predisposition for arousal by long hair that has always been with us from the day we were born, and that somehow found timid expressions (or an object of admiration) once in a while in childhood before we even really knew that there is something called sex.

As for me, the awareness of my fetish developed step by step when I saw the movie poster of Jane Fonda as "Barbarella" (when I was around 10 or 11, I guess) when we went shopping for clothes in the big city. It put me in a trance for at least the rest of the day. Then at age 15 I caught Jane Seymour sporting tailbone-length hair on the front page of a youth magazine.

I can definitely say that through the almost 30 years on the internet my fetish has become more extreme. Waist length doesn´t do much for me anymore; it has to be classic length at least, and from then on the sky (or rather, the floor) is the limit.

Strangely enough, a sleek straight collar-length bob with full bangs can get me very excited, too. I have no idea why a hairstyle so radically different from my preferences otherwise captivates me in the same way. (I can see the same double fascination with long hair and bobs in the posts about bob hairstyles that show up on this forum every now and then; I´m obviously not the only one with such a divided fetish.)

Perhaps that´s just one of the unresolved contradictions any adult person has to live and put up with. After all, it is such an innocent riddle that it doesn´t bother me anyway.
